Ashover

Home to the famous Ashover show in August every year. This quaint village is situated in the valley of the River Amber. Ashover is home to several country pubs and a 15th century church, along with the tale of a few ghosts including the Laughing Cavalier who supposedly haunts the Black Swan. Ashover has a great history dating all the way back to the Saxons who named the village Essovre (‘beyond the ash trees’).
