Our mission is to provide the perfect space to meet, eat, sleep, or celebrate right in the heart of England in the historic market town of Chesterfield. Our four-star independent property is here to provide a genuine home-from-home experience for those seeking comfort, style, and laid-back luxury. We exceed the desires and expectations of every guest and visitor.
Our dedication to providing an accessible home-from-home is of utmost importance to us. We acknowledge our need to keep on our journey to improve accessibility for all. We are committed to ensuring digital and physical accessibility for all our guests. We continually strive to improve everyone’s experience and are working to apply the relevant accessibility standards.
Parking
The car park is spacious and can accommodate over 200 vehicles. It is accessible directly off Lockoford Lane and the A61. Eight dedicated accessible parking bays are located on the first aisle closest to the main entrance. Parking is free, and reservations are not required.
Mobility
The hotel’s main entrance is at the front and is level access; no ramp is required. There is an additional entrance to Barca Bar, which is also on the front, which also provides level access. The reception is staffed 24/7 and is situated facing the hotel entrance if assistance is required.
There is elevator access to all six floors of the property, with accessible rooms located on the second floor, which is the first floor of bedrooms. Wider corridors facilitate mobility around the hotel, both Cocina Restaurant and Barca Bar, and there is space for manoeuvring.
Facilities
Casa Hotel has two deluxe-accessible rooms. These rooms are designed to provide ample space and adapted amenities to ensure a comfortable stay for all guests. They are located on the second floor, have lift access, and include features such as walk-in accessible wet rooms with luxurious rain showers. The rooms can be set as double or twin rooms.
Limitations and alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Casa Hotel, Cocina Restaurant and Barca Bar, there may be some limitations and potential solutions.
Limitations: Main access doors are not yet automated, though they are all lever handles.
Alternative solutions: Ask team members for support, but we are looking to install push-operated door openers in the near future.
Limitations: Whilst reception has a lower-level area, neither bar has a lowered service area
Alternative solutions: We always offer at-table service.
